Feed the Positive Tiger by Lyn Russell

There is a story about a young man in India who was converted to Christianity by a missionary.  After his conversion the missionary challenged him to be a good man  and said he would return one day to see how he was going.

Five years later he returned and checked in on this same young man about the condition of his life.  He replied that his life was often a struggle. “ It is like I have two tigers in side me - a positive one and a negative one. When the positive one is strongest I look after my crops, I help in the village, I spend time with my children and am supportive to my wife. However, when the negative tiger is strongest I neglect my crops, hit my wife, I sleep around wit other women and I neglect my children”

The missionary responds with the question: “If both tigers are fighting inside you which one is winning?”

The young man answers simply: “The one that I feed!”

What we nurture in ourselves and others is what will grow!!
